I graduated in March 2025 from the Editing MA at the National Film and Television School, UK, where I was a Toledo Scholar. My grad shorts (Two Days on the Interstate, The Last Gammon, Watch Me Burn, Mail Order Queens) were nominated for two Grierson Awards, a Student Academy Award and an IDA Documentary Award, and screened at festivals worldwide including Telluride, Sitges and LIAF. I also hold a BA in English Literature from Oxford University.
Before retraining as an editor, I worked for 15 years across feature film production, experimental theatre and artists’ moving image. My firsthand knowledge of working on sets and with actors has been a boon in the cutting room.
I relish projects that engage critically and truthfully with our complex sociopolitical realities, while being inventive with genre and form. My approach to the edit is visceral, analytical, and always exploratory.
Originally from Chandigarh, I grew up in the UK. I speak Panjabi, Hindi/Urdu, and some French, and have edited films in multiple languages including Farsi, Polish, Arabic, Tamil and Greek. I’m open to collaboration anywhere in the world.
